This ESP32-WROOM development board features both a 3.3V input/output pin and a VIN power input pin, offering flexible powering options for different project needs.

Dual Power Input Options Supports both 3.3V regulated and 512V via VIN
Onboard Voltage Regulator - Converts VIN to stable 3.3V for the ESP32 module
VIN pin accepts 5V to 12V DC input (check board specs for exact range) [citation:3][citation:4][citation:9]
The 3.3V pin is primarily a regulated output, but can also accept regulated 3.3V input on some boards [citation:1][citation:5]
For batterypowered projects, use VIN with 512V input and let the onboard regulator do the work [citation:1]
