Connection Guide
Three wires:
- Red wire: VCC (3.5V to 30V positive power)
- Black wire: GND (Ground)
- Yellow wire: Test (Measuring lead, 0V to 100V)
Connecting with a common ground:
- Connect red to positive supply
- Connect black to negative supply
- Connect yellow to point to measure voltage
- The meter will display voltage reading
If measuring less than 30V, you can use the same power source
Use a separate power supply for measuring above 30V
Never exceed 100V on the yellow test lead
Double-check wire polarity before connecting
Using with Various Voltage Systems
Low-voltage (3.5V to 30V):
- Power directly from the circuit you are measuring
- Connect red and yellow wires together
- Black to ground
High-voltage (30V to 100V):
- Use a separate 4-30V power supply for the red/black wires
- Connect yellow wire to the circuit under test
Internal Voltage Reference - Uses 2.5V reference for measurement
Good for High Voltage Applications - Up to 100V
Common in car battery monitoring
Also used with solar battery systems
√ Built-in protection against reverse polarity
√ Good accuracy within the range
Troubleshooting
No display:
- Check power supply to red/black wires
- Ensure voltage is within 3.5V to 30V
- Avoid reverse polarity connection
Display reads "0V" or no change:
- Check yellow test lead connection
- Ensure voltage is above 1V
- Avoid loose contact
Inaccurate reading:
- Measure voltage directly with a multimeter
- Check for electrical noise
- Avoid voltage drop in test leads
