Connection Guide
Transmitter (TX) wiring:
- VCC → 5V or up to 12V for extended range
- GND → Ground
- DATA → Arduino digital pin [citation:6]
Receiver (RX) wiring:
- VCC → 5V only
- GND → Ground
- DATA → Arduino digital pin (interrupt-capable recommended)
Add a 17.3cm quarter-wave antenna for best range at 433MHz [citation:6]
Use a straight wire as antenna for improved performance [citation:11]
Do not exceed 12V on the transmitter [citation:1]
Receiver is 5V only - using higher voltage may damage it
Troubleshooting
No signal received:
- Check power supply voltage for both modules
- Verify DATA connections
- Try different baud rate or protocol
- Ensure antenna is attached
Short range:
- Add a 17.3cm antenna wire to transmitter
- Check for interference from metal objects
- Use higher voltage on transmitter (9V-12V)
